Our Bags
Dr. Bean's bags are handmade here on the Island. We know this for a fact because we make them. Not too big, not too small, fun, sturdy and practical, these bags epitomise coastal living. They are mostly made using jolly stripy fabric in lovely colours and a contrasting lining. Other details are added as well, which will vary - depending on mood, time of day, what the weather is doing or what's on Radio 4 at the time.
Each one comes with an identification number and a handy shackle (we live in a sailing community - you never know when you might need one). Basically, no two are the same.
Bags are currently available to buy from Pelham House Gallery, 9 Bath Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight PO31 7QN.
Alongside our very popular bag, we have now introduced Dr Bean's Bucket - made from natural heavyweight canvas and fully lined, with stitched design around the outside.
